The Digital Divide

I think the easiest way to eradicate the digital divide is by word of mouth. That seems like the most logical answer. The digital divide refers to the gap between demographics and regions that have access to modern technology and information, and those who don’t or have restricted access. It can include everything from personal computers, television, and the internet. Digital divide happens when there is a difference in income, literacy, or even change in climate around the globe.
We live in a connected world, but since the digital gap is ever growing, I think it may not be as connected as we perceive it to be. I think internet companies should promise internet access for all in order for the world to be more interconnected at the least. I think getting a good education also influences your position on the digital gap scale because income is such a big factor. In the end, there is not an easy fix to the problem and it takes community, or even world-wide effort.
